Terms & Conditions
1. General Terms
Fraser Valley Express Courier (“the Company”) provides courier and delivery services subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein. By engaging the Company’s services, the customer (“the Customer”) agrees to be bound by these Terms of Service in their entirety.
2. Service Scope
The Company agrees to transport parcels, documents, or materials (“the Shipment”) as described by the Customer, within the designated service area and under mutually agreed conditions. Delivery times are estimated and not guaranteed, unless otherwise stated in writing by the Company.
3. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all shipments are:
-
Properly packaged, labeled, and addressed.
-
Compliant with all applicable laws and transport regulations.
-
Covered under valid insurance for loss, damage, or delay, as the Company’s liability is limited (see Section 5).
The Company reserves the right to refuse transport of any item deemed unsafe, illegal, or improperly packaged.
4. Payment Terms
All fees are due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Unpaid or overdue balances may result in suspension of service or additional administrative charges.
5. Limitation of Liability
The Company’s liability for any loss, damage, or delay shall be strictly limited to the extent of the Customer’s valid insurance coverage. The Company shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of income, business interruption, or reputational harm.
No liability shall arise for delays or failures caused by factors beyond the Company’s control, including but not limited to weather conditions, traffic incidents, road closures, mechanical breakdowns, or inaccurate delivery information provided by the Customer.
6. Refund Policy
All service fees are final and non-refundable, except in cases where (a) the shipment is covered by valid insurance, and (b) the Company determines, upon investigation, that a service failure was directly caused by its negligence.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing within seven (7) business days of the scheduled delivery date and must include proof of insurance and supporting documentation.
7. Claims and Disputes
All claims or disputes must be submitted in writing to the Company’s administrative office within ten (10) business days of the incident. Claims not submitted within this timeframe shall be deemed waived.
The Customer agrees that any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, and that the courts of British Columbia shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
8. Modification of Terms
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. The most current version shall be deemed applicable to all ongoing and future services.
